Emidio Albertini is a Researcher at the University of Perugia, Italy. Scientifically he grew up under the supervision of Prof. Mario Falcinelli, his guiding light, mentor and Tutor for both the Master Degree and PhD Thesis. He is member of the Italian Society of Agricultural Genetics (SIGA), National Reserch projects (PRIN projects) and of project granted by the CIB (InterUniversity Consortium for Biotechnologies). He is also organizer of: i) Apomixis workshop at the Plant and Animal Genome Conference held every January in San Diego, California from 2002, ii) Eucarpia 2006, Perugia, Italy, iii) 3rd International Conference on Apomixis, July 2007, Wernigerode, Germany.
- plant reproductive systems mainly focused on apomixis in model species;
- pharming;
- molecular markers for mapping and for Marker Assisted Breeding;
- genetic diversity studies: varietal and landraces characterization.
Author of 23 papers: 18 on international journals with referees; 5 on italian journals.
Member of PRIN projects and CIB (InterUniversity Consortium for Biotechnologies) project. Organizer of the Apomixis workshop of the Plant and Animal Genome Conference held in San Diego, California and 3rd International Apomixis Conference .
